New 1:1 Initiative Gets Students Mobile!
Posted on 09/03/2014
New for the 2014-2015 school year,
Braham has put a new initiative in place to get devices into the hands of
students. Starting with 6th
& 7th grade, this new 1:1 initiative will allow
students to access online curriculum, perform internet research, create
presentations and write report (just for starters) all from the convenience of
their very own desks. Along with having the use of technology at their
fingertips, they also have the option to bring their own device home to
continue learning where ever they may go.
This years 6th grade
students were among the first to participate in Braham’s 1:1 initiative by receive
their Chromebooks on the 1st day of school. One student already responding
with “they seem to be very user friendly,” after only having the Chromebook for
a single day.
Learning continues to evolve;
it’s fun to see kids excited about having this new tool in their educational
toolbox opening even more possibilities to learn while making it fun!
Throughout the year we will
continue to evaluate the program. With it’s expected success, we will likely be
adding the 5th and 8th grade students to the 2015-2016
school year 1:1 roster.
