American History #1308 is a course that examines American History from the end of Reconstruction to the present.  The course offers a broad and innovative survey of two tumultuous centuries of conflict and change during the Gilded Age, the Progressive Era, American involvement in World War I, the modern temperament and its alternatives, the Depression, World War II, politics and culture of the Cold War, the rise of the New Left and New Right, and Globalization.
